SUMMARY:Oregon Backpacking - Spring Break
DESCRIPTION:This trip will be a multi-day road trip and backpacking experience through California and Southern Oregon\, blending a few major city stops with some of the most scenic landscapes on the West Coast. We’ll break up the drive with stops in Los Angeles and San Francisco\, then continue north along the Pacific Coast Highway (US-101) into Oregon. While there\, we’ll explore coastal cliffs and beaches in the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor (the picture)\, hike the Trail of Ten Falls\, where you can literally hike behind the waterfalls\, backpack into the old-growth forests of Opal Creek Wilderness\, (here we’ll swim\, cliff jump\, and see some amazing waterfalls)\, check out some amazing views of Crater Lake National Park\, and finish with a proper night’s sleep and some real food nearby in the town of Klamath Falls (which has natural hot springs btw). SUMMARY:The Amazing Race to Big Sur
DESCRIPTION:Two teams/cars race in an epic battle of wits\, skill\, and luck. First to make it to Point Sur Lighthouse wins!  \n  \nTeams will start with 5 cards\, cards can be powers or debuffs to throw against your opponents. Every 50 miles teams will draw a new card. When one team is physically passing the other the team in the rear must successfully land a slice of American cheese on there opponent’s car to enact a heed to head battle. Teams will then pull off to a convenient location and face off in one of the many location specific dual. The winning team will get a 5 minute head start  \n  \nFirst to make it to the Point Sur Lighthouse wins! \n \n  \nIn the last hour of the day the team in the lead will find a camp and time how long it takes the trailing team to arrive. The next day the leading team will get this much head start.  \n  \nRough plan of phases/days  \n\nThe Desert: Tempe to Palm Springs \nLos Angeles Area: Palm Springs to San Luis Obispo\nThe Coast: San Luis Obispo to Big Sur \n\n  \nGame will last roughly 6-8th. 9th we will start the drive back making any cool detours. SUMMARY:New Mexico Road Trip – Desert Peaks\, Caves\, & White Sands (SPRING BREAK)
DESCRIPTION:This trip is a 6 day\, 1500 mile scenic road trip through Southern Arizona\, Texas\, and New Mexico\, focused on iconic desert landscapes\, rugged mountain hikes\, massive cave systems\, and 4 surreal national parks. We’ll start by cutting through Saguaro National Park\, hike among towering rock spires in Chiricahua National Monument\, summit the highest point in Texas at Guadalupe Peak\, descend deep underground at Carlsbad Caverns\, wander through historic mountain towns and alpine forests\, and wrap it all up with sunset at White Sands National Park—one of the most unique landscapes in the U.S. \nWeather: \n\nDaytime high: 80 °F (26°C)\nNighttime low: 40°F (5°C)\n\nBring both warm and cold weather clothing! While we will be in the desert most days\, we may encounter snow in our high-elevation destinations!
