SUMMARY:Mount Lemmon: Base to Peak
DESCRIPTION:This is a difficult 12-mile hike with 7\,000 feet of elevation gain\, starting among saguaro cacti and ending in a pine forest. During the hike\, you will travel through several different biomes as you gain elevation. We will leave Trader Joe’s at 6:00 am and hike to the top of Mount Lemmon\, where we will meet the car camping trip. Drivers on the car camping trip will bring up our gear\, and we will all camp at the top of the mountain. Then the next morning\, we will hike back down and drive back to Tempe. The round-trip will be 24 miles over two days. \n  \nThe number of people who can come will depend on the number of drivers for the car camping trip\, but for now\, there will only be room for 5 hikers; however\, this could be expanded \n  \nCost: Gas\, $7 per car park pass \nWeather: Low of 40 at night\, high of 80 during the day (at base of mountain) \nMeeting Place: ASU Performing and Media Arts \nBring: LOTS of water\, food\, hiking gear.
