DESCRIPTION:We’ll leave Tempe and road-trip out to Death Valley for a few days exploring one of the most unique landscapes in the U.S. Along the way we’ll drive through the Mojave Desert\, camp under the stars\, and visit some of the valley’s iconic spots like salt flats\, sand dunes\, colorful badlands\, and scenic viewpoints. Expect a mix of short hikes\, sightseeing\, and plenty of time to take in the vast desert scenery. \nThis is also one of the best times of the year to see the Milky Way\, and Death Valley is one of the darkest places in the country—perfect for stargazing and night photography. Fairly easy hike up to “the chute” which requires some class 3/ class 4 scrambling to get to the top of the peak (optional). SUMMARY:Northern Arizona Monopoly
DESCRIPTION:This will be a competition trip around Northern Arizona in a similar style to the race to Big Sur \n  \nRules: \nNorthern Arizona is broken up into regions each worth a certain amount of AOC bucks (regions included based on number of teams): \nSedona: 800 \nFlagstaff: 800 \nOak Creek: 800 \nCamp Verde: 500 \nCottonwood: 500 \nJerome: 500 \nMt. Humphries: 500 \nMunds Park: 500 \nPrescott: 500 \nIf 3+ teams: \nPayson: 500 \nStrawberry: 500 \nIf 4+ teams: \nWinslow: 400 \nWilliams: 400 \n  \nEvery region has challenges\, each challenge you complete buys you a stake in that region. \n  \nYour percent owned of a region = the number of stakes you own in a region/total stakes earned in the game by all teams in region \nThe AOC bucks from a region = Regions worth x percent you own \nWhoever has the most AOC bucks at the end of the game is the winner \n  \nexample: If you have 3 stakes in Payson\, and two other teams have 1 stake. Then you own 3/5 stakes and have 300 AOC bucks. \nIf you are the only team to complete a challenge in a region you have full ownership \n  \nTeams can use debuffs to slow down opponents \nEach team starts with two debuff cards \nYou earn a new debuff card anytime you complete your first challenge in a new region. \nYou earn a new debuff when you become majority owner in a region (have the most stakes) \nIf you are the first team to complete a challenge in a region you earn two debuff cards. \n  \nNo Navigation systems\, only paper maps \nAll teams have Life360 on at all times \nWe will share a live calculator that \n  \nThe game lasts two days \nSaturday 9:00am – 8:00pm (Starting in Tempe and ending at campsite at Stoneman Lake) \nSunday 9:00am – 5:00pm (Starting at Campsite and ending in Tempe) \nMandatory 30 minute lunch break required each day \nyou will lose 100 AOC bucks for every 15 minutes late to ending spot (Day 1\, no penalty as long as you are on Stoneman Lake road by 8:00) \n  \n  \n🗺️ Location: Northern AZ\n🌄 Activity: Game\n🏔️ Skill Level: Easy\n👥 Max People: 30\n🗞️ Costs: Gas TBD depend on gameplay\n⛅ Weather: High in 60s Low in 30s\n🧭 Meeting Place: ASU Performing and Media Arts\n🧳 What to Bring: Camping gear\, food\, water\, maps \nCLICK TO SIGN UP
