SUMMARY:Eastern Arizona Wildlife Safari (WHALE WATCHING PUSHED BACK TO SPRING BREAK)
DESCRIPTION:This fall I am leading a somewhat car centric wildlife search and viewing expedition in Arizona’s white mountains and the petrified forest national park. We will be searching the most prominent hotspots for herds of large mammals\, alpine songbirds\, and unique reptiles. There will be some hiking involved primarily in two of the nature reserves in the white mountains as well as in open grasslands. The scenery will be amazing as this lies within peak fall color viewing on aspen trees with wildlife activity being abundant during the day due to slightly cooler temps than the summer months. the other portion of the trip spent in petrified forest will blend both cooler mountain fall colors with the colorful badlands of the Colorado plateau\, unique sunsets\, clear skies\, ancient fossilized trees\, and unique desert wildlife! This is going to be an epic trip and an opportunity to see amazing wildlife. \nFor any photographers in the club who love wildlife viewing and scenery this one is for you! Do not forget your camera if you have one! \n(DISCLAIMER) \nThis was originally this falls whale watching trip. It is a tad too expensive right now and I will be living there next summer. Much of the larger marine life is also feeding much farther offshore this year due to the weather pattern in the pacific so chances of viewing whales grow lower. Instead\, as of right now\, I have a trip dedicated for the channel islands national park in search of killer whales for next spring!
