This fall I am leading a somewhat car centric wildlife search and viewing expedition in Arizona's white mountains and the petrified forest national park. We will be searching the most prominent hotspots for herds of large mammals, alpine songbirds, and unique reptiles. There will be some hiking involved primarily in two of the nature reserves in the white mountains as well as in open grasslands.

We will be backpacking for one night alongside Horton Creek near Payson, passing waterfalls and going through beautiful pine forests. Towering limestone cliffs of the Mogollon Rim will loom above us as we make camp beneath the rustling canopy. Crisp mountain air and the constant, soothing melody of the spring-fed stream will guide us into a quiet, starry night under the pines.

We will be heading to the North Algodones Dunes Wilderness in California for an incredible backpacking trip in the dunes! We will camp on the sand and will go stargazing! Also we're all gonna get milkshakes because that's cool.

We will be going on a road trip to Joshua Tree National Park! We will explore the beautiful desert, hike through the famous Joshua trees and rock formations, and spend one night in the dark, starry night!
